Any licensee reporting, client-money, tax, structuring or compliance work is performed only under a signed engagement with Local Knowledge Pty Ltd that sets out the scope, deliverables, limitations and fees. Nothing on this website creates an engagement or a client relationship on its own.
We prepare, reconcile and coordinate the financial statements and working papers behind your FS70/FS71 and ACL reporting, but we do not perform the statutory AFSL/ACL audit. That audit is arranged with an independent registered company auditor to preserve auditor independence. We do not sign the audit opinion, and we do not provide legal advice; where a matter is reserved to a lawyer or another qualified professional, we will say so and arrange it independently.
Reporting, reconciliation, controls and compliance-support work reduce risk to a reasonable level based on the records, evidence and scope agreed — they are not a guarantee of a particular outcome, that a lodgement, value or position will be accepted by every auditor or regulator, or that no breach can ever occur. Compliance requires ongoing governance; it is never “set and forget”.
The usefulness of any reporting, reconciliation or advice depends on the completeness and accuracy of the records, data and information you provide. You remain responsible for your own licence and compliance obligations, including maintaining contemporaneous records and meeting lodgement deadlines, except to the extent expressly agreed in an engagement.
Our work is performed in accordance with the applicable professional and ethical standards. Where a conflict or a matter reserved to a lawyer, a registered auditor or another qualified professional arises, we will decline the work or arrange it independently rather than compromise that standard.
